Duties and Responsibilities: Treat patients with who have a gum disease and other issues of gums and bones surrounding the jaw. The work may be surgical or non-surgical and might include tasks like placing implants developing treatment plans and preventative care.   

Salary: $168,697 

Education: Complete dental school, followed by a residency in Periodontics 

Demand for this particular career: Grow 18%
